Now Pranayam seeks to regulate breathing, an automatic process and hence it is crucial that it must be performed with utmost care and under strict supervision.</p>
<p>One of the mandatory steps before Pranayam is done is Naadi Shuddhi, ie cleansing of the system. It is s simple procedure where you need to block one nostril and inhale through the other nostril, before releasing that nostril and exhaling from it. After that, you can repeat the procedure with the other nostril and so on and so forth.</p>
<p>Another set of exercises in Pranayam involve a tummy tuck where you hold your breath while holding your belly in. You then exhale out while leaving the pressure from the belly. This helps in regulating your breath while working on the muscles in the belly region. If you increase the intensity of the exercise, you will see amazing results in the belly fat loss arena.</p>

You should try not to work out so much at the gym. Instead work out at home and use free weights if you can, even just dumbbells for any weight training. In addition, try to incorporate much more body weight exercise into your training program to add diversity.</p>
<p>The only hassle with this tip is the initial set-up of where you are going to train and what exercises you want to do. However, online fitness sites have a wealth of exercise options. The reason why it is less hassle is both that you can work out at any time once you know how, and it saves you money, either in gym fees or getting to the gym and using the other facilities.</p>
<p>Tip 2<br />
To improve your diet, simply eat one slice less of pizza each time you have it, have 10% less potatoes, 10% less chips etc. Have one sandwich made out of wholemeal bread rather than white bread.<br />
You do not have to stop eating all processed foods; just start slowly and take some away. Over time it will easy to reduce chips and pizzas to maybe once a week.</p>
<p>The real power in this tip is that it works by only slightly decreasing your calories intake (10%), which is not so hard to maintain over a period of weeks.<br />
 You can also make the decision to not eat so much in the moment because you only focus on one thing, as in the slice of pizza of the number of chips.</p>
<p>Tip 3<br />
Fill up a 2 litre bottle of water and drink this during the day. When it is finished fill it up again and drink more.</p>
<p>There is a great debate about the impacts of drinking water to stop you from feeling hungry. The reason I put drinking water here is that it will stop you drinking fizzy or sugary drinks. It will also stop you drinking juice which does contain a lot of concentrated sugar, even though it is natural.</p>
<p>Tip 4<br />
Set a reminder to eat at 4 oclock each day. Eat a bar of something but not a chocolate bar. The more you do this, you can eat fruit and nuts instead or whatever feels healthier. At the start simply have an oat bar or a nut bar.</p>
<p>Eating an extra meal, even a snack, is a great way to stop yourself feeling hungry during the day and ending up eating too much at dinner.</p>
<p>Tip 5<br />
Do not give up beer or wine.</p>
<p>I know this may sound a bit radical, but you do not have to give up alcohol to lose belly fat. You only have to reduce what you drink slightly. If you drink 20 beers a week, drink 10 instead. If you drink 2 bottles of wine a week, have 1 instead.</p>
<p>It is important not to completely go off drinking, unless you have prepared yourself, because if you completely cut it out you risk a larger binge effect when you finally drink again. It is better to get accustomed to drinking less rather than not at all.</p>

<p>2. How much do you want to lose? Be careful here. If you &#8220;Bite off more that you can chew&#8221; at first, then you may be setting yourself up for a fall before you begin. This is more easily achieved and will be a great starting point for the weight loss program. Once you have lost 20 pounds, go on and lose another 20. Do this five (5) times and you have reached your 100 pound weight loss goal.</p>
<p>3. How much time are you willing to give yourself? How much you want to lose will really determine how long to give yourself. Losing more that a pound or two a week is considered unhealthy. Many diet and weight loss plans brag about losing 10-20 pounds a week. Do that and you are risking your health. If you lose two (2) pounds a week, you will have lost over 100 pounds for the year (52 X 2 = 104). Do remember that you will probably not always lose 2 pounds a week. Some weeks it may be only one (1) pound or, maybe you will not lose anything.<br />
 Due to strange happenings in our body physiology we may even gain a pound or two, even though we have been doing everything right. Do not let these minor quirks throw you off.</p>

<p>You must always plan for those minor (and sometimes major) setbacks that life will throw at you. Know how much weight you need or want to lose. If you find that you have made your goals a bit to difficult, then back them off but, don&#8217;t give them up. If your diet or weight loss program does not seem to be working very well, then get another. There are scores of good programs out there that will actually work for you, just check them out. The main thing is don&#8217;t give up. Most people quit doing what works. They get tired of plans, feel like they are deprived, or just get lazy. If you quit I will assure you that you will be more tired of being overweight, feel even more deprived, and become even more lazy in the long run.</p>
